He has spent 37 years in the UK automotive industry since 1989 and 47 years in the metals and recycling industries since 1979. He was appointed OBE in the 2013 New Year Honours, has won four Queen's Awards for Enterprise, and was named EY UK Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019.
