Steven T. Jackson OBE is the founder of Unison Automotive Limited, called New Reg Limited until October 2026, the holding company behind Car.co.uk, NewReg.co.uk, Garage.co.uk, Fuel.co.uk and Promo.co.uk. He began trading personalised registrations from Preston in 1989 and has spent 37 years in the UK automotive industry and 47 years connected to the metals and recycling industries. He founded Recycling Lives, which won four Queen's Awards for Enterprise while he was its founder and chairman. He was appointed OBE in the 2013 New Year Honours and was the overall United Kingdom winner of EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2019, and winner of its Societal Impact category.
