Ford owners have access to more make-specialist garages than any other brand, with 243 verified specialists counted across the UK.
Ford drivers can call on 243 verified make-specialist garages across the UK, more than any other manufacturer, according to data from a national garage directory. That figure represents nearly one in five of the 1,253 make-specialist workshops currently listed nationwide.
Vauxhall comes second with 152 specialists, followed by Peugeot on 136 and Volkswagen on 106. Toyota rounds out the top five with 97 dedicated workshops, reflecting the growing presence of the brand's hybrid models on British roads.
The spread matters for everyday motorists because a make-specialist garage typically employs technicians trained on a specific manufacturer's vehicles, with access to relevant diagnostic tools and parts knowledge. For owners of older or higher-mileage cars outside a franchised dealer network, that can mean more focused servicing at a lower cost than a main dealer.
