Ford is rolling out an AI assistant that lets owners ask plain-language questions about their car's features, warnings and fixes.
Ford has begun a broader rollout of an AI assistant designed to answer owner questions directly, drawing on the car's manual and diagnostic information so drivers do not need to search through documentation themselves.
According to multiple reports, owners can type or ask questions about specific features or problems and receive a relevant answer from the assistant. The tool reads both the vehicle handbook and live diagnostic data, which means it can respond to questions about warning lights or unfamiliar settings in plain language rather than directing people to a page number.
The move reflects a wider shift in how car manufacturers are approaching the ownership experience. Knowing what a dashboard warning means or how a particular feature works has traditionally required either hunting through a handbook or calling a dealer, neither of which is quick or convenient. An assistant that interprets that information on demand reduces that friction for everyday drivers.
